Industrial design firm Astro Studios occupies a three-story, concrete and heavy timber industrial building in San Francisco’s South of Market (SOMA) district. The project scope requires complete renovation of the multi-purpose ground floor and upper studios. The public areas are designed for variable functions ranging from conference and lounge areas to exhibitions, receptions and gaming competitions. Convertible walls and flexible custom furnishings are planned for adaptation to the changing program needs. Open work areas upstairs maximize function while also expressing Astro Studios’ ability to surprise and inspire its clients.
