The 1512 Building is a neighborhood commercial building located in Potrero Hill, San Francisco. The building is designed for two tenants: a restaurant on the ground floor and yoga studio on the second floor. The design preserves the old façade while creating a new modern structure behind. Capitalizing on its hilltop location, large window-walls provide expansive views of downtown San Francisco. Materials that recall Potrero Hill’s industrial history, such as steel, metal roofing and siding, wood, and glass, are used to develop the modern language of the new building.
